Riot gets enquiries from all sectors of the community, a reasonable number of whom are people interested in the state of law and order in the ACT.

Today we got a plea from a reader requesting if anyone knew when Matthew Raymond NICHOLLS was attending court, the male allegedly responsible for the death of a 71 year old lady in the Canberra Centre after he apparently knocked her over. NICHOLLS was refused bail by Magistrate Maria Doogan last month after checking himself out of hospital where he had been placed for a Mental Health assessment as per this ABC report (which prompted this Riot discussion).

Well by looking at the ACT Magistrates Courts website a search on NICHOLLS, M produces the following results:

Name Case No. Date Time Type Location
NICHOLLS, M CC07/08804 2007-11-08 14:30 HEARING Court Room 2

If that’s him (and I doubt there are two M. NICHOLLS going through the courts atm) then tomorrow’s the day. Expect media coverage.

Still not really fixed. Quires was better – as a typo it was at least interesting.

‘Enquiries’ is what you’re looking for.
This one is constantly wrong in documents and signage. Spellcheck strikes again.

It’s just another mention.

No need to wet your pants.

isn’t a quire a set of 24 sheets? anyway looks like it was a typo ’cause it’s fixed now.

You regularly receive 25 sheets of paper from sectors of the community?
