Mole removal for a giant woose

There have been threads on here before regarding mole removal here in Canberra. But i need information that is a little specific and isn’t mentioned in the previous threads.

I am a giant sook when it comes to surgery, small or big. I am looking for a place to remove a mole I have on my chin, and i want them to pander to my sookness hehe.

I have tried to go to other doctors before, but I find them a bit forceful and not very sympathetic to my phobia ( not that they should be, but I guess I expect a better “bedside manner” from a medical professional)

If anyone knows of anywhere here or even the surrounds of the ACT that will help me with my issue I would be eternally grateful

Hello TheDancingDjinn ,

There is a skin clinic in Kingston opposite to the green square where i had been in the past. The doc there was polite and helped my lets say gain my clear face back.

Thanks to the canberra dry weather i had Eczema growing up.

Would be worth a visit .

My 2 cents.

I wouldn’t bother going to Jennifer Dunlop, not professional at all. She was unable to see me for an appointment I had made so we had organised another day. The following day received a call if I could come in at 2:00 instead of 1:30. Got there at 2:00, she wasn’t even there, arrived half hour later. I left a message with the receptionist for the doctor to contact me, I received the call

i agree with jazzy jess, you must be concerned when there is something about your face, don’t panic and go for facial minor surgery if required.

If the mole is on your face I suggest you consider consulting a plastic surgeon. A botched job by your local GP could leave you with an ugly scar. I’ve heard good things about Dr Tony Tonks.

Woose like a sub species of Moose or something? Or perhaps a Wuss?

Did that make you feel all warm and superior on the internet sweetie? – good for you 😀

Well now you don’t have to be embarrassed by misspelling a simple word. Even though there is most likely more words, just try take a bit of pride in yourself.

..or are more words… and not actually putting in the word – to, between ‘try’ and ‘take’, i believe – is as bad as misspelling, no? if you’re going to get all grammar nazi on us, do try to get it right…

as for the op – astress has been prone to the odd mole and she thoroughly recommends dr jennifer dunlop, capital cosmetic and laser clinic. dr dunlop uses a technique that leaves minimal scarring and doesn’t take off a whole chunk of skin around the little furry mammal, err mole, as a doctor in a surgery would do. she’s in deakin – the dr, not astress – and is on 6232 4946.

and don’t feel bad and think you’re a woose/wuss/woos, giant or otherwise for the apprehension of any sort of surgery – only masochists like pain [to whom a sadist, of course, would simply say ‘no’.] good luck!

A friend of mine (who unfortunately has had to have a number of sun-related spots/cancers removed from her face) suggested Dr Neena Sood from Ngunnawal Medical and Skin Clinic – 02 62420029. I have not had any experience with Dr Sood personally, but am assured that she is worth the visit. If Dr Sood cannot help, I’m sure she will be able to refer you to someone that matches your description.

All the best.

Just to be clear, are you looking for someone to help with the mole removal or help with being a woose/wuss.

It seems to me like addressing the latter would be your better option as no longer would you be concerned about medical procedures or have your spelling corrected on the internet. I mean if you just get the mole removed by a sook friendly doctor we could all be back here this time next year when you need to get some warts lanced or something.

Oh, and no I don’t have any helpful suggestions…sorry.

I’m afraid I can’t help you with your question, but I did want to thank you for teaching me that a “woose” is, in fact, one of a race of “medium-sized, very fat creatures. They are also very nasty. They are grey and have no hair at all, so that when they close their eyes and sit very still, they are sometimes mistaken for large stones.” They originate in C. S. Lewis’ Narnia novels. According to my Scrabble dictionary, it’s also an alternative spelling of “wuss”…so my original smart-alec post berating your spelling has kind of been nipped in the bud 🙁 Lousy dictionary.
