Monster cock-up with traffic notices

Uh, common date 16th October, Uh today’s the 15th, problem detected 14th. Pickedanickname I would love to get a speed camera notice that accused me of speeding tomorrow – hahahahahahahahahah.

I just got a notice yesterday with that date..but these aren’t speed camera ones are they?

Apparently 3000 notices suddenly appearing in the system just slipped under the radar. Makes you wonder how many valid ones they must send out – must be an awful lot of people “forgetting” to pay their fines.

I was particularly interested in the phrase “potentially rescind” being applied specifically to notices that were “issued in error” in the first sentence there. The implication being that they may, alternatively, decide to just let the incorrect notices stand? That seems…not good.
