ACT Policing Criminal Investigation members arrested a 22-year-old man and 19-year-old woman on Saturday morning (July 10) following the aggravated robbery of a taxi driver last month (June 17).
Around 2.30am on June 17, the driver picked up six passengers from an address in Kingston and conveyed them to George Street, in Oaks Estate.
After the passengers got out of the vehicle, the 26-year-old driver from Queanbeyan was threatened then assaulted. The victim was robbed of a sum of cash before the offenders fled the scene.
On Saturday morning police executed a search warrant at a house in Narrabundah where the man and woman were arrested in relation to the alleged offence and conveyed to the ACT Watch House.
The man and woman have been charged and will appear in the ACT Magistrates Court this morning.
