More Time in the Snow 2008

Images of the snow from the weekend 30 Aug to 1 Sep. The first photo shows what happens when it rains at the snow (bad) and the water flows over the ice covering the streams. The rest of the photos show what the landscape and trees look like after a night of freezing rain and snow.

The spring season is continuing with more snow falling on Wednesday. With the amount on snow still on the ground and still falling I’m trying to figure out when I’ll be able to fit another trip in.

Saturday’s snow was nothing compared to a fortnight before the sun had come out – fairly slushly but still good cover.

the setting in the “Scene” selsction that says “Snow and Beach”
I just take photos and hope for the best

the camera itself is a little Olympus Mini Miu that I got 4 years ago, mainly because it came with a free snorkel case

Beautiful shots che. What settings did you use to compensate for the snow glare?

Wow it looks fantastic, must see it in persons sometime.

Stunning.

I’m more beach-oriented and have never been to the snow in over 40+ years on this planet (not in Australia, anyway), so it’s good to see how someone who was there views and captures it.

I need to get back down there. It looks just beautiful!
