Motorbike parking in Barton

By screaming banshee - 3 June 2011 14

I just thought fellow rioters of the two wheeled variety* might like to know there is a new motorbike parking area adjacent the Edmund Everythings Barton Bloody Building Broken on the Ottoman Cuisine side.  Converted from a loading zone sometime this week there was not a motorbike in sight this morning.

*I mean the proper two wheeled vehicles that burn fossil fuels, not the confused vehicle/pedestrian/vehicles that try to kill themselves every day riding down Northbourne Ave

What’s Your opinion?

Free motorcycle parking, yet they whinge about the cost of rego… tools.

Who has whinged about the cost of rego car kicker?

There is another thread re: rego costs, where a motor cyclist had a dummy spit about the cost of MC rego.

Maybe a wee bit too cool for motor bike’s this morning.

Soft. Poor grammar as well. It’s too cool for the motor bike’s “what” this morning?

Just a curious question, is all motorcycle parking free? Like at a multistory car-park in a shopping mall, open air car-park with pay parking and designated motorcycle parking etc.? I wasn’t sure when last at Woden and none of the websites I’ve found have any relevant info.

I don’t even ride a motorbike but I hate when I see cars parked in designated motorbike spots near windsor walk at Barton

Do what i do, and kick them over, or slash their tyres, whichever is quicker…

I’d like to see you kick a car over. Can we arrange a time for aviewing?

I don’t need any witnesses for such a feat. (although well done on picking up my misreading of the previous post)!!

I’m interested in what’s broken in the Edmund Barton building! I thought they had renovated it?

Now now. Let’s not get too bitchy about VPVs. I’m bi-cycle myself, opting for either motorized and un-motorized versions depending on the colour of the undies I put on each morning.

Pffft, with the right gear you can be warmer than in a car 😉

thankyou for that Banshee, as I am a rider of “the proper two wheeled vehicles that burn fossil fuels” I am always happy to hear of new spots to park for free (snigger snigger) and yes i did ride today in the fog and it wasn’t bad as I scooted past those poor (albeit slightly warmer) people in their cages 🙂
