Motorcycle accident in Wanniassa recently?

After fueling my car at the Mobil in Erindale yesterday, while paying the attendant was talking about a fatal accident that happened nearby this week. From how he described it, a motorcyclist was hit by a car and died at the scene, either on Sternberg or Ashley Drive.

After a quick look through RiotACT (always my first stop for local news) and AFP media releases, I can find nothing more of it. Was the attendant mistaken or was there an accident in the area this week that might not have been reported?

Silly ol me, looking on media sources and news sites for news, when I should have just looked at twitter.

Thanks thatsnotme, I wasnt sure if people were imagining it or if it simply wasnt reported in MSM.

I drove down Sternberg a few nights ago, and the police had part of the road closed. There was only the police and some guy sweeping glass off the road, looking like they were finishing cleaning up from an accident, so maybe that was the accident there? This was only one or two nights ago.

2 vehicle collision at Ashley Dve and Sternberg Cres in Wanniassa. 2 persons injured. Ashley Drive onto Sternberg blocked to traffic.

then at 10.39pm:

Ashley Drive and Sternerg Cresecent now clear.

I reckon it would have taken them longer than 2 hours to finish clearing the scene if it’d been a fatal accident.
