Attempted mugging in Kingston last night

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery which occurred last night (Tuesday, April 16).

Around 8pm a man was approached by three men near the grandstand of the Kingston oval.

The men made a number of demands after grabbing the front of the victim’s shirt and threatening him with a knife.

The victim was able to flee when the offenders released their hold on him. No property was stolen from the victim nor was he hurt.

The first offender is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 25 to 45 years old, short brown hair, scraggly beard, wearing a large hooded jumper and jeans.

The second offender is described as Caucasian in appearance approximately 25 to 45 years old, 160cm (5’3”) in height, wearing a black baseball cap on backwards.

The third offender is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 25 to 45 years old, wearing a baseball cap and 170cm (5’7”) in height.

Anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity at the Kingston oval yesterday, or who may have information, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.

Perhaps there is a comma missing? Maybe it should be “…short,brown hair….”

25 to 45 years old? cant they be more specific? who was the victim? a bouncer from the canberra casino?
