The CT reports that Greens member, Deb Foskey, with the assistance of Labour’s Karin MacDonald, have voted out Mulcahy from the position of Chairman, Public Accounts Committee.

Mulcahy believes it is to do with his rigorous attempts to get to the bottom of the Rhodium scandal. Foskey is admitting to nothing, only that the 14 grand pay rise had nothing to do with her decision.

Both Sonic and Stefaniak have expressed puz

Can we believe that Foskey, who saw nothing wrong in occupying a (prime location) Government dwelling whilst receiving her not inconsiderable MLA salary, is capable of identifying and bringing to notice wasteful Government expenditure?

ABC online has this on it.

what a great committee for scrutinising the decisions in a billion dollar business. Full of talent they are. They obviously keep Jon Stanhope and co in check.

Sepi, well the other member of the chair was Karin MacDonald. You would have to be blind not to see why the other two would try to seize power.

Well Mulcahy must have been a rubbish chair or he’d still be ther wouldn’t he – I mean there were 3 of them on the committee. Deb f didn’t do this all on her own.

Everytime Foskey opens her mouth I cringe. I think I’ve only heard her say one intelligent thing during estimates hearings. Most of the stuff is just rubbish.

I have no doubt she’ll make a rubbish chair and accountability in the ACT will reduce. And accountability would be nice..
