Drum roll please…

Yes readers, the Mully Cup for September 2010 has been run and the winner by a country mile is our own Mulberry (aka Bogan Fingers).

Her outrage at syringe education in schools erupted into a titanic 300+ comments and the poll on the subject received 600+ votes (and an emphatic win for the notion that syringes make excellent water toys).

Congratulations Mulberry on joining past winners Steve Dozspot, Mark Parton, Ian Miller, and Justin “Mully” Williams as September’s leading cause of contention.

[Work is now underway on a real Mully Cup. The design has been finalised as a flannel shirt half PVC glued around a balloon to form a bowl. It will rest on top of a can of woodstock and cola, in turn resting on a mag wheel. The names of winners will be inscribed with black marker on the rim of the mag.

Any readers wishing to contribute component parts of the cup should email john@the-riotact.com.]

Dammit – I’ve been a law-abiding citizen all my 63 years, but I’m going to see if I can win the Mully Cup before they stick me in a nursing home.

why thank you! I feel honoured.. I’d like to thank…..

So this is why the mag wheel has gone finally missing from the memorial.

Congrats to Mulberry (a.k.a. Bogan Fingers) for winning the Mully Cup – I thought she was very harshly treated by the riotact mob and it’s great to see her win this… ahem… prestigious award.

As for Mully, I find it slightly vexing that this graceless turd is being remembered at all. If the emotions of contempt, scorn, and a total lack of sympathy for his demise could be somehow solidified then the Mully Cup should be made from that.

Just like Holden Crescent in Wanniassa. They don’t even bother with a street sign anymore- it’s painted on the gutter.

The mag wheel at the Mully memorial is now gone. As is the bourbon and coke and the solar light. I think only flowers and a little plaque remain.

Also the Bogan place street sign has been really high for years. I used to do Pizza deliveries in the area and the sign was constantly missing after someone nicked it. One of the street dwellers had taken to painting the street name on the light pole because they were sick of their street always being missed by visitors.

If you’re after a Mag wheel, there was one at the Mully memorial on Canberra Ave along with a number of cans of woodstock & cola. Having a genuine mully wheel would add to the authenticity of the cup and make it a real prize.

All manner of objects can be placed in the bowl, much in the style of a roadside memorial.

Shouldn’t the Mulley cup have a 0pack of Winnie blues incorporated in it somehow as well?

Having previously suggested using the Bogan St sign in Kaleen as a trophy, the wonderful folks at TAMS have raised it to a whopping 13 feet off the ground which is a very noticable metre higher than the other signs in the area.

Dont think that it is secure, this only makes me want it more.

Just go steal every Batman St. sign.

Just cut the entire sign post down…..or is it on a power pole That’ll take a chain saw and your best running shoes!

Rather then a balloon, I respectfully suggest an inflated condom, representative of the lack of protection the world experienced from the Mully.

Let’s have a water fight to celebrate, especially now that restrictions have been temporarily lifted.
