mully cup

It was a near run thing, but after careful consideration The Queen has trumped the accused Charnwood swan molester for the coveted Mully Cup.

The Mully Cup is awarded to the persons who excite the most public comment in Canberra for a calendar month. Previous winners include former Chief Minister Jon Stanhope, radio presenter Mark Parton, and graveyard desecrator James March.

We look forward to wikinerds adding the award to Her Majesty’s titles and honours as we reckon it’s at least up there with being a Nebraska Admiral.

Incredulous to associate the Queen with this award. Please retract.

They are both parasites living off society – where’s the problem? *insert tongue in cheek emoticon*

I think there was something about plagues and famines. Perhaps, now that we don’t have plastic bags to line our garbage bins, they’ll be next.

I saw a locust the other day. Just the one, but hey that’s how it starts….

Surely this should be a joint award …. Her Majesty and also, for his contribution, Andrew “Hates History, Hates Gardens” Barr who went on the record that he had better things to do with his time than accompany the Queen around Floriade!

He’s not all bad, then.

Yeah.

I think we must be approaching the end of days, as foretold by the Book of Revelations. Yesterday I agreed with something Zed said. Today I fell compelled to approve of something that Andrew Barr did…or rather, something he didn’t do, if you get what I mean. What could possibly happen next to confound my expectations?

That is why the trophy says “The Queen – Nov 11”.

Does it really say Nov 11? I haven’t got good enough vision to see that. If it does, then it was not a mistake at all, was it?; ‘God save the Queen, because nothing will save the GG.’

Would it have gone to the house that may or may not have been involved in an unspecified incident, if not for the involvement of certain suited professionals who may or may not purported to have been appointed as representatives of said house? Allegedly?

That is why the trophy says “The Queen – Nov 11”. October went to the alleged house, but it is censored.

Well spotted 🙂

We’ll be correcting the trophy ASAP.

Has comment been sought from the Palace?

Ooohhh, I hope they now become regular readers and commenters on RA. It would be great to have a “By Appointment” warrant on the website

Has comment been sought from the Palace?

You have written ‘Nov’ after the Queen. This was for the October Mully.

I should have been a professional nitpicker with a little stand in Garema Place.

Surely this should be a joint award …. Her Majesty and also, for his contribution, Andrew “Hates History, Hates Gardens” Barr who went on the record that he had better things to do with his time than accompany the Queen around Floriade! Mr Barr surely deserves credit – and his name should be inscribed next to Liz on the Mully Cup by way of admonishment!
