That actually sounds pretty awesome. It’ll turn Majors Creek into Bellingen for the weekend. I’ll bring my bodhran, my fife and my wee lass and join in with the folkies who all seem to have their right leg shorter than their left. But I think I’ll only go if they give us students the youth prices…

Sounds pretty good for a weekend away – cheap, free camping, not too far away, yet still exciting enough to enjoy the weekend away, and get away from it all under the stars.

Youth prices are pretty much as per above. As far as U know there are no Uni prices as such, but feel free to ring the contacts and have a chat.

McDonald’s stand: I’m guessing no. Folkies generally tend to lean to the right, so supporting multi-national global corporations is NORMALLY not something you see at a folk festival. Actually, talk amongst yourselves for a minute while I find my program… nup, must have put it somewhere safe. Baked potatoes, Thai food, sausage sizzle, that’s more what you’ll find. There may well be a few McDonalds, but they’ll be playing fiddles, bodhrans or guitars and singing ‘Flower of Scotland’ or ‘Scots Wha Hae’ or ‘The Loch Tay Boat Song’. The singing and session-ing pretty much goes until the dawn in some parts of the festival ground!

Will there be a McDonald’s stand?

Do uni students get youth prices? If not, I’m not going, even though it looks good.
