This problem intersection has been the subject of several discussions on ABC 666 “Chief Minister Talkback” over the years.
The usual response has been “the mirror one” (I’ll look into it). Someone should sue the ACT Government for dereliction of duty.

My husband was involved in a major accident at this intersection when a tourist failed to give way from Capt. Cook Crescent.

I live right near this intersection and am amazed by how many accidents there are (especially peak hour + rain). Over the past 2 years there has been so much road work on curbs and line markings, with little obvious change to the accident rate. About two metres down the road there is a traffic light to assist pedestrians to cross the road which could easily be shifted to incorporate the intersection and avoid all these accidents.
