The Queanbeyan Age have reported a story about a nasty five car collision at lunchtime today, along with a request from Police for information on the accident.
QUEANBEYAN Police are continuing their inquiries after a five vehicle crash in town this afternoon.
At about 12.45pm today, a sedan was travelling east on Canberra Avenue and was nearing the intersection of Tharwa Road.
According to Queanbeyan Police, the male driver has lost control of the vehicle and been involved in a collision with two other vehicles.
As a result of that impact the sedan has gone on to hit a further two vehicles near the intersection.
The three cars have then been involved in a collision with a fuel tanker.
The driver of the sedan was taken to Queanbeyan Hospital for further medical checks.
Police are investigating the man’s medical history as a part of their inquiries.
Two vehicles were towed from the scene and the tanker was not damaged in the crash.
