Neighbourhood roundup

Yesterday Smee sent in the aftermath of high winds that afflicted the region, in particular his part of the world the nature strip parallel with Lee Steere Crescent in Kambah not far from Village Creek Primary School.

Meanwhile Gordie is extremely unimpressed with the structure that his Curtin neighbours are building on their nature strip seemingly in lieu of going to the tip.

deb foskeys house?

Canberra’s new emergency accommodation option…

its where jupiter jones and the other two of the 3 investigators hang out…

Its only missing one thing. A big skull and cross bones with a KEEP OUT sign 🙂

Watertight, schmortertight. It’s for having secret meetings and defending yourself against the rampaging hordes of…whatever kids imagine there are rampaging hordes of these days.

It looks about as watertight as the SIEV-X!

yeah I was just going to say that this looks like somethign me and my “club” would have built in the early 80’s in the pine plantation in the back of Giralang.

Ahh those were the days.

I remember running about a km home non stop because the local bully pulled a 5cm swiss army knife on me…

Does anyone else get lost in teh simplicity of their childhood compared to modern living ?

I find myself reminiscing (sp?) on it way too much these days.

Now THAT is the kinda cubby that I wanted to build as a kid. All that assorted crap must have taken a hell of a long time to gather. I say good luck to their pluck.

Looks like some kids kick-arse cubby.

Well done to them I say.

Built in the same way we build them 40 years ago, before OH&S standards. Before the total lack or personal accountability for one’s actions.

I am confident that they didn’t get PALM approval. Nor should they.

Let the kids play.

Nah Thumper, we couldn’t have an eyesore of the week cos the Sunday CT already has that one covered on its pre-letters page. We’d hate to be copycats or anything.

No guys, it’s a ‘renovator’s dream’.

And it could all be yours for the tiny sum of $375,000.

Nah, wrong time of year to burn it now: too many fire bans in force!

Just wait until Autumn!

Mr Evil – lets soo how well it burns this weekend ? Our Russian friend Molotov would be proud of us.

Looks like govco accomodation – are we sure they won’t be moving it to Northbourne Ave?

The beginnings of a 50ft high Jim Morrison statue/shrine?

I bet it’d burn well too.

actually it kind of looks like it could be something out of wolf creek.. could it be some kind of murder den?

treehouse 5000??

Looks like a piece of the set from Survivour Curtin

Kinda looks like a slightly unsafe cubby house to me.
