Liberal Leader Zed Seselja is pointing out that this morning’s Call-in of the Giralang Shops redevelopment is exactly what ACTPLA’s Neil Savery got in trouble for recommending:
Its been over a year since Mr Savery first recommended the government call in the Giralang proposal, given its immense interference in the application, Opposition Leader Zed Seselja said today.
Now that Simon Corbell has done what Andrew Barr wouldnt and has vindicated Mr Saverys recommendation, what will happen to his position, which he was effectively driven out of by the government for raising these justified concerns?
By accepting Mr Saverys recommendation, Mr Corbell has also accepted the process was undermined by Government interference.
I call on ACT Labor to explain how theyll stop such interference in the future, and how theyll rectify their terrible treatment of Mr Savery for raising these very legitimate concerns. This governments persecution of whistleblowers must end, Mr Seselja concluded.
