New Civic bubblers a distinct improvement

bubbler

Back in February last year we expressed some disappointment with new bubblers in Civic which required the user to get rather closer than most would like to a piece of steel prone to being vomited and piddled on (unless you’re into that kind of thing).

As part of the seemingly interminable works in the city centre we’re thrilled to see a better design.

The way the water runs down the splash back and into sub-surface drainage is pretty special too.

I thought they looked pretty good and pretty clean. I’d probably fill a water bottle up from one of these.

I would have until I read this thread. Perhaps the bubblers should be designed more for people filling up water bottles than for putting their mouths and other orifices near..

That might explain the earlier excellent thread about the water being too hot for drinking. (Hope it’s not too hot though.) It’s all making sense now.
