Facebook: Keep the ACT ban on fireworks

Two months ago a Facebook group appeared calling for the ACT ban on domestic fireworks to be lifted.

Now there’s a balancing one rallying those who want to retain the ban.

No need to go into the arguments for and against domestic fireworks – all been done before.

But if you favour the ban and are a little concerned that some 9,000 people have joined the pro-fireworks group, you can now join ‘Keep the ACT ban on fireworks’.

Facebook activism works.

Haven’t seen it work yet (unless you can enlighten us).

I doubt they will change their minds now the legislation has passed.

Facebook activism works.

Ohh things go bang… Bright lights – makes neanderthals clap their hands and dance with their ceremonial bottles around the campfire.

Leave em banned.

Absolutely. Could someone link the ‘Lift the Ban on Domestic Fireworks’? Thanks.

Thanks for the tip on the “I want the fireworks back” group. I’d join that if I had a facebook account.
