They tend to” muck rake up everything thing” after they have been fed the selective, distorted, selfserving and often corrupted information, that some Government agencies hold on file,then release to the press(or so called public) to which they then claim to be “acurate information” and a “true version of events”. They then tend to pass this “acurate information” on from one Department or Agency to another, containing in most cases either their” freinds and inner circle” that they may meet with on a regular basis, or sometimes an “inbred relative” and then waive the “independant” flag, when it this “information ” is then used to form future “opinions”, decisions, or to take “actions”.

OH WHOOPS I spelt it wrong, had a bit of snot on the screen, sorry bout that, as you can see I am only a lowly “TRUE ” member of the public. Its actually spelt ” Corbell” I think? anyway the” media release” and you will see that its” his edited highlights” and not an acurate account of the changes that have been made so far, to the Act,” The Freedom of Information Act 1982 ( the Act)”
Although he did list some changes in it, he failed to mention anything about making ;

1. it easier for the “agencies” to simply label you, so as to not have to comply with the “Act” at all.

2. Limits on the number of times that you can make the request

3. no actuall definition as to what he and his “buddies” actually consider to be the “public”

4. not addressing the past “abuses ,improprieties” and or “grey areas” which concern several parts of the original” Act”. eg: “Legal Profesional Privilege”, “Personal Information” ,etc.

5. the many changes to the number of hoops you must jump through in order to actually use the” Act”.

Not to mention that it would appear the lack of the word “HONEST” or phrase “HONEST and OPEN” has deliberatly not been used.

WHAT A “CROCK” !

I aggree. As much as they take away context to suit them, the media are easily manipulated by other groups to suit thier adjenda. Its a wonder anyone still reads the paper. On a side note, my dad will believe anything on TV!! Its to the point where I just have fun with the old ignramous that he is.

It’s all a load of shite. I did an FOI request for the restaurants that had been fined for various nasty food practices and I received a huge ream of photocopies with the names of the restaurants blacked out. As useful as a chocolate teapot.

by the looks of that it will do nothing that it should be doing and these minor “tweeks” just dont go far enough. It is and still will be known to the citizens, that could be bothered wasting their time” as
” the Freedom FROM Information Act”.

More needs to be done!
