G’day

There is a new shop about to open at the North Lyneham Shops, It is called
Choku Bai Jo, the farmers outlet.

The store has been set up by the some of the same people that set up the Capital region Farmers (through the rotary club of HAll) and the Southside Farmers Market. The shop will have products direct form some of the best stalls at both of these markets and is open 6 days a week.

3pm-8pm Monday to Friday
and 6am -12noon Saturday

The Shop opens this friday the 22nd of Feb at 3pm, and as there is no capital region farmers market this week, it would be a great place to get your fill of freash fruit and veg for the week.

the shop will be open on saturday as well 6am-12noon then all next week.

they will have lettuce for $1 each picked the day before they go on sale.

thanks

The Shop will be run by the family that have the Gleann na Meala Shop at the Farmers markets, growers of chemical free veg. The shop will also be getting stock diret from Treetops Batlow (apples) Jo Vassello Molbray Park (veg) Young Stone fruit (plums) and other producers around NSW. Most product will have the details of where it came from.

Where did you come from, where did you go?

Where did you come from Choku Bai Jo?

fantastic!!!! hope they’ve got enough produce for us all, I can imagine it will be a popular shop.

Cool. But do they offer organic produce?

this is great news!!! i will definitely be checking it out this weekend.

It’s important to make the distinction between this kind of market, which is a REAL grower’s market, and the various so-called markets which are really just retail shops. ie Fyshwick “markets” and Belconnen “markets”.

The farmers’ markets are the proper sort, they bring their produce to sell it there, whereas the false markets are run by shop owners who buy the produce from producers and on-sell it to the customers.

Fantastic!!
Now I can stop even pretending I might get up in time for the farmers market on Saturdays.
