New Marymead CEO announced

Canberra and region not-for-profit Marymead has announced the appointment of Darren Black as its new chief executive officer.

Darren, who will take over from acting Marymead CEO Amanda Tobler on 31 August 2015, is a community sector leader with over two decades of experience in leadership and management. He was CEO of Outward Bound Australia for nine years and is currently the CEO of NSW PCYC.

He has also led multi-national teams as a United Nations Military Observer, as well as multi-disciplinary teams in the military, business and social sectors. He is a graduate of the Royal Military College Duntroon, the Harvard Non-Profit Leaders course in 2006 an the Melbourne Business School where he was awarded his MBA in 2010.

According to Marymead, Darren is passionate about good community sector leadership with a particularly strong commitment to developing the next generation of young Australians.
