waterslide parts

I just drove past the Macquarie pool and saw that there was a new slide/slides in pieces around the pool ready for assembly.

Anyone know any more info?

Where did the slide come from? My money is on El Caballo Blanco, it looks like the black hole.

Sorry for the crap pic but we all know that iphones suck at taking pictures by now.

Thanks for the info T-Bone.

The Twister actually sucks big time IMO. It is a fairly rough slide so no wonder Wet N Wild got rid of it.

I’ve done some digging and had a look at the site myself (which is surprisingly easily accessible without jumping over any fences).
The slides are from Wet ‘n’ Wild on the Gold Coast. I can confirm one of the slides is called “The Twister” – http://www.swiftcity.com/pictures/6/49/1597.jpg

It’s obviously the slide that’s of a twisty nature.
It’s also reported that the “Speedcoaster”, which is the slide to the right of the Twister may also be coming down to Canberra, but we will wait and see, way too hard to work it out by the random pieces everywhere. Nevertheless though, I was only able to find one slide tower.

Hope this helps.

I’d never heard of El Caballo Blanco before reading this post.

You didn’t miss much p1!

Does anyone else remember standing up on the family slide and holding onto the edge?

Interesting, the slides at Jamo could use an revamp.

I’d never heard of El Caballo Blanco before reading this post.

Disposable, I am excited. Used to love going to Jamo in the late 80’s and have been every summer since my daughter was old enough to go on the slides. New slide is awesome news.

Ok so I am the only waterslide freak in Canberra.

I thought this was going to be even more popular than the ghost hunting posts, can anyone feign interest to placate my battered ego?
