Canberra fitness apparel brand OnTheGo Sports and Next Gen Health & Lifestyle Clubs have this week announced a new partnership whereby OnTheGo will develop and design uniforms for staff across Next Gen’s five Australian and New Zealand clubs.

From Next Gen’s media release:

Next Gen Health & Lifestyle clubs, with their newest club opening soon in Lyneham, have partnered with a truly Canberran success story, ONTHEGO® Sports, founded in 2010 by local entrepreneur Mick Spencer, to take a bold new step into the future of fitness apparel.

As part of their recent rebrand, Next Gen Health & Lifestyle Clubs partnered exclusively with ONTHEGO® Sports to develop a bespoke designed range of uniforms that promotes comfort, style and durability for staff across all their Australian and New Zealand clubs. Using state of the art materials and design styles, the uniforms cover all aspects of the clubs’ operations, including gym instructors, personal trainers, poolside, crèche, food and beverage, reception, sales and maintenance.

Next Gen Health & Lifestyle Clubs Marketing Director, Andrew Savage outlines the importance of uniforms within the overall rebrand, “it was an integral part of our rebrand strategy to completely redesign the uniforms in a way that creates an identity for each area of the club that engages both staff and members. We considered a number of suppliers for this project and are very pleased with the exciting range of apparel that ONTHEGO® have produced and the feedback to date has been extremely positive.”

Spencer is “extremely excited to be working with Next Gen, what they are doing with health clubs is hugely innovative and literally “next generation”, adding that “we’ve worked with health clubs all around the world, and NG are above and beyond, they are perfectly in line with where we see OTG sit as a brand”

Having designed, manufactured and shipped over 3,000 items to 5 states and 2 countries, within 6 weeks, ONTHEGO® is excited to develop a new range exclusively for Next Gen members that will be a first of its kind.

That might put a few noses out of joint at the Southern Cross gym and Anytime Fitness. OnTheGo was one of their sponsors, and Southo/Anytime wouldn’t be too happy that they’ve jumped ship to a competitor.
