He also designed the the Spheres in Adelaides Rundle Mall, locally known as the Balls! If you have never meet anyone at the ‘Balls’ you havent really been to Adelaide. See http://www.rundlemall.com/about/malls-balls-rundle-mall.shtml

Damn sad. If only we could get stuff like this for public art in the ACT, instead of penis owls, and the oddball wreckage thingy near the GDE bridge.

Although there’s no accounting for taste. We drove down past the wreckage the other day, and Mrs LSWCHP commented that she really liked it. I gave her a sideways glance, but kept my mouth shut. Some things just aren’t worth arguing over.

There’s also three very iconic statues of his in Wollongong.

Oh, that’s sad. He also did the fountain out the front of Bruce Hall and the cubes at the park in Belconnen opposite the mall (Margaret Timson Park), so he’s added quite a bit to our city. I have many fond memories of playing around on that fountain and decorating it for our neighbours at Bruce (I was a B&G-er)
