Ngunnawal's Spar Supermarket rolled again

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery at the Spar Supermarket in Ngunnawal last night (Sunday, 23 October 2011).

Around 8.55pm three males approached the entrance to the Spar Supermarket in Jabanungga Avenue, Ngunnawal. The three males, who were carrying knives, threatened staff from outside the entrance to the supermarket, demanding money. Staff handed the offenders a small sum of cash before the three offenders fled the area on foot towards Yarrawonga Street.

The first male is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged between 18 and 20 years. He is approximately 165cm to 175cm tall, with a slim build and short, light brown, curly hair.

The second male is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged between 18 and 20 years, and about 185cm to 190cm tall. He has tanned skin, dark coloured hair, hazel coloured eyes and an average build.

The third male is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged between 18 and 20 years and approximately 180cm tall. He has tanned skin with a thin build.

All three males were wearing dark coloured clothing and concealed their faces with bandannas.

No staff members were harmed during the incident.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen three males matching these descriptions in the area of Jabanungga Avenue and Yarrawonga Street, Ngunnawal to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. Police would also like to speak with anyone who saw a vehicle parked on Yarrawonga Street behind the community building at the Ngunnawal Shops. Information can be provided anonymously.

Glad I got out of there when I did. Now I’m southside and though it’s no paradise, there is nowhere near the same amount of crime such as robberies and assaults going on in my suburb.

Get out if you can because its only going to get worse!

Uh? Can’t ACT Policing set up a trap inside the supermarket?
This way they can arrest heaps of junkies, that place gets robbed every week!!!!
Feel sorry for attendants who work there.
