OutInCanberra have a story on plans by Nic Crowther to expand his fine boozing empire into deepest darkest Tuggeranong.

“Phoenix Bar, Trinity and Filthy McFaddens are three of Canberra’s most popular bars to hang out and have a drink. A large thanks can be handed to Nic Crowther, who is part owner of all three bars and has exciting plans to open a fourth bar in Tuggeranong”

Good to see someone looking to fill the vaccum. I imagine the Tuggeranites will be flowing in droves to a decent alternative.

I thought sporting clubs and bogan clubs were the same thing.

Good to see someone who has opened pubs with a little class in the past continuing to do so.

with an outdoor entertainment area would be good, for some music on a sunny day

What Canberra really needs is a proper Irish pub. The ones we have at the moment really don’t cut it too well.

Sporting Club: read ‘flimsy excuse to hose piss into idiots while the poker machines chatter away to the next million they have cunningly extracted’.

why do you think that would be FC?

good. They need some more places to go in tuggeranong.
They have about 100 sports clubs, but the other pubs are pretty bogan.

hmm well i hope that whatever he opens in the tugg area is a little more classy than the other places on offer

Nic’s a top bloke, I hope that this goes well for him.
