This in from ACT Policing:

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an armed robbery at a supermarket in Griffith overnight.

Around 7.25pm last night (Tuesday, January 4), an unknown male offender armed with a knife entered the Shop Rite supermarket on Barker Street, demanding money. He left the store with a sum of cash.

The male offender was last seen getting into the front passenger side of a recent model black Audi TT coupe with blue and white ACT registration plates.

The male offender is described as Caucasian and approximately 183cm (6’) tall. He was wearing a long-sleeved white and grey-coloured flannelette shirt, dark pants, light-coloured shoes and a black baseball cap at the time of the incident.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Anyone who may have seen a black Audi TT in the Griffith area around the time of the incident, or witnessed the armed robbery is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information may be provided anonymously.

Dammit! I was in Griffith all night and I think the getaway car was the only TT I didn’t see!

I find it amusing that one of the google ads that appears to right in this thread is for ‘Gay massage Canberra’. Who said the Audi TT isn’t a fun little thing?

“He was wearing a long-sleeved white and grey-coloured flannelette shirt, dark pants, light-coloured shoes and a black baseball cap at the time of the incident.”

At least he had the good taste to be wearing the full bogan uniform, though without the hoodie.

Two pieces of scum, I’d say. One does armed rob, while his mate specialises in vehicle theft. Seems like the ride would be too high-profile to keep for long, unless they’re very dim, so the owner will probably get it back, perhaps as a burnt out wreck, fairly soon.

What a great start to the year for the victims.

Probably trying to give the Audi TT some tuff cred considering it normally gets articles like this:
