Nightrider is back

John Hargreaves has announced that the nightrider bus service is starting up again on 1 December.

Can any of our legion of hospitality workers confirm if we actually get more people out late in the mid-summer months?

I would have thought that with the students gone the seasonal drunks would just be making up the numbers (also, walking home is more attractive in the heat).

they should have these busses all year round, then I would stay out a drink more often cause taxi’s are way too expensive

Ithink it’s more for all of us attending the millions of work-based and social events that come at this time of year. After the first 20, a taxi seems a bit pricey.

I think it’s VERY kind of Mr Hargreaves to ensure WE don’t need to drive while drunk even if we think we’re probably OK.

well i perfer sitting in a beer garden when its 15-25 degrees not 1 or below.

generally in the Daylight Saving times of the year – people tend to eat later at restaraunts – so arriving at 8ish 9ish instead of 6ish 7ish.

Its a biological thing – not wanting to eat dinner till its dark.

Maybe this has a follow on effect for pubs clubs etc.
