Lambrigg Street in Farrer is currently closed in both directions as emergency crews are bringing a house fire under control.

They were called at about 5:50 am this morning (3 November), with ACT Ambulance, ACT Policing and ACT Fire and Rescue all on scene.

An ACT Emergency Services Agency spokesperson said the one occupant of the home was able to get out.

“They were assessed on scene and didn’t go to hospital,” they said.

Motorists have been asked to avoid the area and plan their trip around the road closure accordingly.

In these times when interest rates are on the rise a lot of friction fires occur (mortgage rubbing against insurance policy)

Just joking of course and I hope no one is injured.
