I’ve been trying to sell piano and early childhood music lessons by posting bits of dead tree to very expensive concrete blocks and outside supermarkets. Yesterday while out postering I was a bit surprised and disappointed by what I would consider bad or at least unexpected notice board etiquette and I thought it might be fun to see what RiotACT commenters think.
Some people are very enthusiastic and hog the noticeboard with multiple enormous posters for the same event lined up next to each other. Were they being rude or just protecting themselves from people like me postering over their posters? Am I justified in going over duplicate posters when the notice board is full?
Then I also noticed that a few notice boards had already been cleared even though I’d only put up my poster two weeks before. Should shopkeepers clean their wall every week or two or should they just leave it to the archaeologists as appears to be the plan at the O’Connor shops? I would propose a convention between shopkeepers and government that the noticeboards all be cleaned at the same time monthly so that people with notices can put them back up once they’ve been taken down.
Does anyone even read noticeboards?
