Nic Henderson of the Brumbies is taking up the challenge of finding the best steak in Canberra according to the Brumbies newsletter and this article from OutInCanberra. Nic makes no bones of his culinary expertise or tastes, he’s a prop and he likes steak. Seems pretty simple to me, but will he grill any of the venues and would you go somewhere based on his review?

PS. 5 Points for the first person who recognises where the title comes from?

Ohh, oops! The Southern Cross Yacht Club is the biggest dump around. The staff are horrible and the duty managers are hopeless. They just lost their head chef – I guess he had enough sense to get out sooner rather than later!

Mael: In Soviet RiotACT, Che respekt YOU!!

King of the Hill, a quote about Hank’s colon x-ray – do I get the 5 points?

The best Ive had in Canberra for a while is the 200gm wagyu at Kingslys Crab and Steak house. It tasted a lot better then the 300gm wagyu because it was cut thinner and was more tender. Its only marble grade 4 or 5 so its not the top of the line wagyu but still nice. Ive had marble grade 9 before and it goes up the grade 12.

The old favorite Charcoal Grill on London circuit seems to have changed chefs this year. At first they had done away with bringing the sauce out as a side dish as they always had and instead the steaks were covered in sauce. They have since gone back to the way they use to do it which is a good thing. Apart from that nothing much has changed although Ive gone off thick cut steaks now and prefer the thinner style cuts.

It’ll be rigged if Hog’s Breath gets it. can’t stand that place. The Feedlot (cough) um I mean Woden Southern Cross is reliable for Stayke and chips, we go there for our cheap family nights out. Varied it the other night and went to the southern cross yacht club. Hopeless! The service was very good, but the food was quite ordinary.

schmerica- nick hendersen plays for the brumbies, not the raiders…. also best steak in town is at the woden southern cross club

Penn & Teller’s “Bullsh!t”?

I have Che’s favour, as I am his favourite. You must all attempt to beat me with your words of respect in order to sway Che’s eye of favour from me to glance upon your puny selves for a fraction of an instant.

For those interested in the story – the original thread it started on is here: http://the-riotact.com/?p=4050

the comment in particular is this one:

The rest I made up.

ALL RESPEKT THE CHE

or as Manuel from Fawlty Towers would say it, Que?

ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO CHE

I thought the Raiders were sponsered by Hogs Breath ?

I always thought OutinCanberra was some sort of gay thing.

This thread’s giving me a heada-che.

Yeah I need to know too, this is turning into utter che oss.

Look, I can’t bear it any longer and I have to ask:

Mael, what’s the deal with posting “Respect The Che” or, as in this case, “Do Not Eat The Che” everytime Che posts an article?

Have I missed something?

DO NOT EAT CHE
