Nuke Canberra?

As if to prove that no idea is too stupid to be expressed on the internet, my attention has been drawn to one moronic Paul Edwards who has blogged an open letter to the President of China asking Hu Jintao to safeguard Australian human rights by dropping the big one here in Canberra.

While that idea is stupid enough, the reasoning is an absolute doozy. Paul is very impressed that the Chinese have a written commitment to free speech, despite many conversations in China (in my experience) ending with the phrase “this is a dangerous subject”. Paul would like a similar protection of free speech in Australia and would like the Chinese to bring it here on the end of a nuclear spear. Outraged at erosions of free speech in Victoria he thinks a foreign nuke on the only jurisdiction in Australia with a Bill of Rights (however useless ours may be) is the solution.

An easier way to fix Paul’s concerns with the actions of State Governments would be for Paul to down a pint of drain cleaner.

Paul’s way:
– Bodycount = 300,000
– Human Rights = Chinese grade

RiotACT’s way:

– Bodycount = 1
– Human Rights = Australian grade

I think we can all see the path of reason here can’t we?

Calls out “free beer tomorrow”…

Lexus was silver hatch – driver with dark complexion (my PC way of saying ‘ethnic’).

Why not send all criminals into the fenced area irrespective of whether they originated there or not.

A ‘stupid bomb’ … that’s the one I was thinking of … calls out ‘free beer’ before detonating.

One in a Lexus tried to run me and several other cars off the road 3 times the other day because I took exception to him cutting me off at about 120kph on Northborne.

This didn’t happen to be a blue one? One drives madly down Northbourne each morning, with hubby following in a gay yellow Honda convertible roller skate thing. Both have total disregard for others on the road and their safety.

Put the fence up and let out everyone who wants out. If they commit a crime, send ’em back in.

What’s the Arabic word for Absolom?

Yeah and I’ve often wondered whether nuking the whole damn Middle East wouldn’t solve most of the world’s conflicts in one fell swoop. Doesn’t mean anyone’s going take the idea seriously… 🙂

umm, because this one is calling for nuclear fire to rain down on our heads?

There are morons and fools everywhere…

I passed a (not bogan-looking) woman easily 7 months pregnant but smoking this morning.
Ad infinitum.
But JB why bother giving the morons mileage here??
(Realising my own hypocracy in continuing to do just that myself, but maybe it’s just about being able to vent one’s feelings that counts…)

A “Stupid Bomb” ?

Yeah, China’s all for free speech: that’s why they drive tanks over the top of anyone who protests against the Govt there!

A ‘smart bomb’ … I don’t think so 🙂

Actually quite a few of them spend a lot of the year here as it’s a good way to avoid electoral work.

Which doesn’t take away from his gripe being with State Govt’s

They could drop a “Smart Bomb” on summernats.
The bomb specifically targets bogans with tortuerous auditory readings from Shakespeare, Sir Isaac Newton, Alexander Bell and for the sexually perverse, Freud.

In all their agony they self immolate in the the same liquid hydrocarbons that fueled their passion for so many years.

The mind boggles with his pathetic logic.

He obviously had no clue that the majority of Federal politicians don’t live here, they just “visit”.

He needs to read a bit more and rant less.
