Mayor Rattenbury is welcoming the 2013 Oceania Road Cycling Championships to the Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve:

“The 2013 Oceania Road Championships features many talented road cyclists vying for selection in the next World Championships,” Mr Rattenbury said.

“Cycling is such a healthy and environmentally friendly way to experience the beautiful Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve, so it is great to have the opportunity to host an event of this type.

“The races will run on Thursday 14 March 2013, Saturday 16 March 2013 and Sunday 17 March 2013, following a number of different routes which all finish up at Dalsetta picnic area.

“Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve will remain open and accessible to all visitors throughout the event.

“Visitors are welcome to come and experience the reserve, and can pack a picnic or enjoy a meal at the new Café Tidbinbilla. The café is open over the weekend and features quality food, locally produced espresso coffee made by trained baristas and indoor and outdoor seating offering majestic views,” Mr Rattenbury said.

There may be short delays on roads within and around Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve due to rolling temporary road closures to facilitate racing on Saturday and Sunday.

All well and good but that’s today and no time is given?

Gooterz, today is over. You missed it. If you’re interested in the weekend schedule, check: http://www.cycling.org.au/?ID=49051

Trained baristas…I used to train baristas, but they were snappy little bastardos, so I has to use the bastinado.

People in races like this generally have not buttocano. (Yes, now I am making things up.)

Good on the fit people, I say.
