ACT Policing is seeking assistance from the public after a 92-year-old man was confronted in his home on Sunday morning (5 February) and a sum of cash was stolen.

About 9.00am the 92-year-old victim answered his front door where he was confronted by a man who immediately entered the premises and wrestled the victim to the ground.

The offender, who was carrying a pocket knife, demanded to know where the victim’s wallet was. The offender took the victim’s wallet which contained a sum of cash and left the premises.

The offender is described as Caucasian in appearance, 178cm (5’10”) tall with a medium build. He was wearing grey coloured slacks and a short sleeved shirt.

Given the victim’s age, ACT Ambulance Service was requested to attend. Although shaken, the 92-year-old victim was not hurt as a result of the incident.

Police would urge anyone who saw a man matching this description in the area of Boldrewood Street in Turner around 9am on Sunday morning, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.

O’Connor? Sounds from the media release like it occurred in Turner?

Either way, hope the p*/`k is caught

The intruder wrestled the 92 year old occupant to the ground … that must have taken some real balls!

Hope they catch this scum.
