O'Connor uniting church solar panels

The O’Connor Uniting / Cambodian-Vietnamese Alliance Church has recently been swathed in the exciting scaffolding that only an A-frame roof line can generate.

But the scaffolding is gone, the solar panels are revealed, and one has to admire the way they’ve been arranged. And with churches built on an east-west axis it’s easy to get a north facing aspect no?

Nice to see a church getting back to the neglected branches of their history!

@Gungahlin Al, better than nothing.

Cute.
But regrettably with that very steep angle beyond the optimal 31 degrees (by a long way), I think they’ll find the panels’ generation will be reduced a lot in summer – losses I don’t think would be compensated by increased winter generation.
