OMG! ACT government, a great achiever!

Anyone else get a shiny pamphlet in their letter box telling us how great the ACT government has been in the last year? A newsletter explaining their great achievements, with a focus on health services. Surely that is political advertising! Oh, but hang on, it is an annual publication and bears no relationship to election cycles (hahahahaha!)

[Ed] Maybe they should check some of the numbers they’re throwing around as well.

Sorry, I meant the bit just to the south of there, the turnoff to Bandjalong Cres. It really doesn’t look wide enough under the bridge.

Is there really enough room at the Aranda interchange to squeeze in four lanes? It looks very narrow there.

Nah, looks too small when driving past, but there is room. They might have stuffed up a lot of things during the project, but they can measure.

If you’re referring to the unadressed mail that was placed in my no unaddressed mail signed letterbox then yes I recieved it!

“Then again, Canberra’s got too many people already.” LOL, you had better stay away from Sydney then…

The GDE was definitely planned as multiple stages, otherwise they wouldn’t have built the bridge cuttings wide enough for two bridges, or left land cleared to duplicate lanes.

As much of a disaster as I think the GDE is, at least they have some forward planning in it. Sure, not enough forward planning since they built it in two stages to make it look cheaper, rather than to allow for future growth.

Then again, Canberra’s got too many people already.

Out of touch? Or just full of spin?

Full of something…

I note that they’ve listed the duplication of the GDE as ‘stage 2’. Maybe I missed it but I don’t recall them calling building the GDE as ‘stage 1’. Just wait for the next election, they’ll promote it as a major achievement……….again

I wonder how much money they’d save for the ACT Budget by ceasing to send us that crap in the mail. It was Australia Post delivered too by the looks of it..

Focus on health services is a JOKE! I consider Canberra Hospital almost third-world with doctors and nurses making mistakes and ridiculous waiting times in emergency.

I’m terrified any time I have to take my elderly parents in to the emergency ward or when they have to be admitted into that hospital.
