For everyone who’s ever wondered about just how valuable the family hoard really is, this Sunday’s the chance to find out.

Rotary is running a “What’s it worth?” day at the Albert Hall.

$5 to get in, you can bring three items each. Valuers are promised for:

    — Jewellry
    — Toys / Collectibles
    — Aboriginal art
    — Gems
    — Antiques / fine art
    — Australian Pottery
    — Coins
    — Stamps
    — Porcelain

There are plenty of Picassos lurking in the inner suburbs I can tell you.

Seriously though, my money is on Toys/Collectibles to record the highest price.
I don’t like Canberra’s chance of having priceless arts (aboriginal et al) hidden away in someone’s attic. Wouldn’t mind been proven wrong though.

as i am a hoarder of the unique, I cannot get anything valued as the annual clean and throw out event has been and gone…
