Anyone else recieve a Reminder Notice for Traffic Offence in the last day or two?

Better check it out closely because it might just one of the many that were sent out by mistake.

I received a warning last December and low and behold I got a notice in the mail to pay 177.00.

After hearing on the ABC that anyone receiving these letters should call the shop front I quickly did.

Anyway I’m relieved but left wondering how these problems arise?

At the end of last month there was a speed camera on northborne ave just after the golf course. The speed limit is 80 but the signs on the van had 60 on it. Not wanting to risk it I slowed to 60, but man continued to do 80. I wonder if those people received fines. A lot of them could of been interstate travellers heading back home and if/when the fine comes through they will be non the wiser.

Public servant idiots…

I think it’s an RTA fumble not a police fumble?

You’re more than likely correct. It’s normally a human error rather than a computer error too.

I recieved a warning in January and got the fine yesterday, im assuming that it is one of these. Will check it out though.
I would rather not pay the fine and then find out it was a stuff up.

After my recent interactions with the traffic camera office this doesn’t surprse me.

“Oh it’s ok, it’s only hundreds of dollars and possible licence suspensions we are dealing with….”

They are all a bunch of gumbies.

This appears to be the release about the last time this happened.

Pretty sure there was an article posted here about it at the time. Do a quick search and the media release will probably be linked in the article.

I also received one yesterday. Mine was from October last year?

Where is the media release? I’d like to check it out…

A lot of Traffic Cautions were incorrectly processed as Traffic Infringements, meaning the automated systems thought people hadn’t paid and thus posted payment notices. Was just a paperwork stuff-up I believe, and there was a media release about it. Nothing to stress about. 🙂
