ACT Policing has arrested two men after executing a number of search warrants after a three month investigation regarding the supplying of drugs.
Around 2pm yesterday (July 5), police stopped a Mitsubishi Triton utility, driven by a 33-year-old Oxley man and a silver Honda Accord, driven by a 44-year-old Macgregor man on Bindubi Street, Aranda. Both vehicles had been identified as being part of the investigation.
During a search of the vehicles, police seized two mobile telephones, cash and drug paraphernalia.
ACT Policing Criminal Investigations detectives then executed simultaneous drug warrants on houses in Oxley and Macgregor.
During the search of the Oxley house, police seized a sum of cash, drug paraphernalia and drugs, suspected to be methylamphetamine.
At the Macgregor house, police seized cash and drugs, suspected to be heroin and methylamphetamine along with a number of mobile telephones and electronic devices.
At the completion of the warrants, both men were arrested and taken to the ACT Watch House where they were charged with trafficking in a controlled drug other than cannabis. They will face the ACT Magistrates Court later this morning.
