Paintball tournaments in Canberra - anyone interested?

G’day all, those who have been around RA for a while know that my paintball field, Adventure Paintball (Tuggeranong), runs regular paintball tournaments.

We are currently running Friday night novice tournaments once a month, with the next one being THIS Friday night (11 Dec). They are pretty relaxed. The format is 3 man so you only need to find 2 mates to play, and it is under lights which is also pretty cool. Games tend to be pretty quick and everyone is really friendly, with the refs providing ad hoc coaching through out the session. No experience or equipment is needed, as we provide it all. This is strictly Novice so there is no ‘owning the N00bs’ or any other nonsense. Those who turn up are interested in playing tournaments for fun, not for sheep stations. Average per person cost is $75- $100 for the night.

As well as the Novice tournaments, we also run tournaments for more serious players pretty regularly throughout the year.

Two teams based at AP played in the Semi Pro and Amateur divisions at the recent Masters in Sydney and both did really well, coming 4th in their respective divisions.

The plan is that we get enough interest over time to start hosting some serious tournaments in Canberra.

So if anyone is interested in getting into tournaments, or just want to come down Friday for a look, feel free to contact me. Click on my sponsors link or ring 02 6262 4242.

It beggars belief that some people don’t realise some of us still use public transport is how I would put it piperdoon. 😛

no friends to take you? better if you take a mate to shoot! and as I don’t use p/t if I can avoid it, no I didn’t realise. 🙂

*guggers = tugggers

Hmm it seems my reply was not approved, I was slightly sarcastic in it but I didn’t think it went over the posting guidelines, but oh well, lets try again.

I am reliant on public transport, thus my suggestion of some type of a minibus service if enough people would be interested to justify the cost. Getting bus to woden though and then bus to guggers, then bus to city for bus back to queanbeyan is not a quick journey though, especially when last bus leaving the city on a weekday night is 9:10pm, and buses back from woden stop at 6pm, and even earlier for both on weekends.

10 minutes tops from the centre of Queanbeyan on the weekend.

25 on my push bike.

Public transport (bus route) across the road….

It’s only about a 15 min drive from the centre of Queanbeyan isn’t it?

Queanbeyan is too far? It’s only 15 minutes down the monaro highway to the field or are you walking?

Beggars belief……………

As ive been saying to all the ACT paintball outfits for ages, if there was something closer to Queanbeyan you would get more people, Tuggeranong is just too far away for unfortunately. Only wish you had been running 10-12yrs ago when I was a teenager living in tuggers region canberra with nothing to do, lol.

Don’t suppose you have enough numbers to investigate the feasiblity of a minibus to transport ppl to and from pickup points before and after though for an extra cost…??
