Any suggestion for a restaurant / cake shop that serves really good panna cotta?

I’ve been dying to eat one and I just want one where I can have a slices for take-away.

Ellacure in Bruce do a mighty fine Panna Cotta. I’m unsure though if we are talking about the same thing cause I’ve never heard of it coming in slice form?

‘Slice’ of panna cotta?

If you mean a pot of that lovely light creamy dessert, the best by far is the Italian cake stall at EPIC markets (worth hanging out until Saturday morning for). If you mean a slice of dense, fruity, nutty panna forte, you cannot go past Cornicopia in Braddon ( except Mondays when I think they are closed).

Deserts like this really aren’t that hard to make, and I think the DIY route is going to be your best bet at getting something like this to eat at home. Your options probably are make it yourself, settle for a mass produced version from a supermarket fridge, or splash out on dinner in a restaurant that serves it.

A slice of panna cotta? Somebody is doing it wrong. Should be a solid, but definitely not “firm”. In any event it is mostly made in single-serve moulds so you’d take an entire one for take away. But sorry, can’t recommend a patisserie that makes them unless they are on the menu at the Flute, or perhaps at Sfoglia.
