Parking at Dendy

Well I had to venture to Dendy tonight because my friend wanted to see a particular foreign flick. First it is cheap night on Tuesday, so if you are planning to see a 7pm movie get there at least 45 minutes before hand to secure a ticket and sit yourselve in the theatre at least 15 minutes before the start. I kid you not the line for tixs went up the ramp to the toilets.

But more importantly, why are the signs in general for parking up the shits? The best car-park (and boy do I hate paying an extra $3 for parking to see a flick) for the cinema is the one that goes up the ramp behind the skate park. This is next to the Big W loading dock, hard to find being right on the corne. You may end-up taking the down ramp to the Big W car park or worse find that you end-up in the older car parks.

Really Dendy should insist from the management of the Canberra Centre that there are signs saying this way up for Dendy or this way down for Big W.

Oh and also better signage for the exits from each floor could help.

I know this might be too much to ask, but speaking to the counter staff they have indicated that they have had numerous complaints about parking.

we get them either way.

I believe they all get two free tickets for posting their propaganda here.

boy, the dendy boosters have got some cracking ideas about customer service.

ride a bike. problem solved.

For those who maybe confused Dendy do not own or operate any of the surronding carparks and as such have little to no say whatsoever in regards to the operation or pricing of them. Even as a major.

Craig said that he, and other senior managers at Dendy, had spoken with Canberra Centre Management on a number of occasions in regards to matching the “Free Parking Offer” available in the other centre. He said they will continue to push the issue with centre management until a satisfactory resolve is made.

For those of us who think that paying for parking is a joke make yourself heard…..

Place your complaint in writing to Canberra Centre Management via email to centremanager@canberracentre.com.au

If you want free parking….make yourself heard!

We’ve got that Cheap Tuesday at Hoyts, also. And I can’t imagine why the Canberra Centre hasn’t offered free parking with tickets yet, as Pandy said.

If you are a woman, having trouble walking then no Simto. Also the closest on street car park is very tight, very full.

This is not an attack on Dendy, but on the management of the Canberra Centre. Westfield (well it used to) and the Hyperdome both offer validated parking if you go to the cinema.

But thanks Dendy for “Club Dendy” that offers cheap tixs, 5 movies for 4, Dendy nights and preview nights. All for a mere $15.

There’s very good, free-after-hours parking about a block away from the Dendy complex, along Mort Street. So you don’t have to pay the extra $3 if you don’t want to.

Perhaps we could start up a RiotAct sister site called http://www.IHateDendy.com.au
