interesting parking

I thought I would check out last weeks story on Kambah pools. I failed to find mountains of rubbish left by teens and druggy’s, but I did find this example of bad parking. Fortunately it didn’t stop some one from neatly removing the rear quarter panel and stealing the stereo.

UPDATE: The cool morning has brought a sense of embarrassment about my prophesy of car burning and doom. My delusions have been coloured by an unrealistic fear of the usual suspects. An inspection of the evidence has brought another piece of the puzzle together. The rear of the car is undamaged leading me to believe the car was pushed off the back of a tilt tray or trailer. It looks like its going to be a lovely day. Enjoy

Further Update: Popped down for an early morning perv. The car survived another night with out being molested. All the damage except the stereo seems to have occurred during the day. The first day the wheels went. Yesterday the interiorand boot where done over. A couple of rocks in the windshield and a push off the edge. Ive included a photo of the rear mud guard and the ground. I’m not sure this is a parking accident. Its starting to read like a warning.

One would hope the future would have better taste than to do a hover conversion on an ’89 magna.

Let alone an ’85, ’86 or ’87 Magna like the one in the photo’s.

I defer to your keen eye for 1980s Mitsubishis.

You cant call the police slow when the B word is mentioned.

Guessing you’ve called the Tuggeranong cop shop and let them know its there?

Abandoned cars can be reported via Canberra Connect – http://www.tams.act.gov.au/live/city_rangers/abandoned_vehicles.

Best just leave it for the fire brigade to deal with first. Some poor teen druggy with a lighter will learn a valuable lesson about petrol fume build up in an enclosed space. Should go off like a car bomb. Then the police can deal with it.

The car still has numberplates on it, so Im guessing the police dont know its there, otherwise they wouldve come along, removed the plates, then passed it along the line for someone else to deal with.

An inevitable product of reversing and not being able to take his eyes off the old tanned dude in the cord makini.

One would hope the future would have better taste than to do a hover conversion on an ’89 magna.

“Michael! You’re not thinking fourth dimensionally…”
Clearly the car was on it’s way back in time from the future highway to the satellite suburbs of tidbinbilla and pierce’s creek…

They were probably ogling a bunch of nudies in the rear vision mirror whilst trying to park.

Hmm, i’m guessing someone’s actually reversed over themselves. Have a look at the bent exhaust pipe on the muffler, and the big rock shaped dent on the rails just in front of the rear wheel where it’s landed after rolling over the rock (1st photo). (Sleuth hat off).
