The Pashas Lounge at the DNA Theatre

Saturday Night in Gorman House’s DNA Theatre saw the birth of a strange new music venue.

Couches, futons and blankets dotted the floor and the audience had been asked to come in their nightwear. On a cold night with the toilets out the door and round the corner this tended to be a dressing gown over other clothes although a heroic few turned up in their flanel PJs.

With a couple of late withdrawals the performers tended a little on the “hairy men” side, but with plentiful beer and beds to recline on everyone seemed to have a great time.

A downside of the relaxed atmosphere was that a few people later in the night ended up having a little nap. But I don’t think anyone minded.

More cusiously about half the audience preferred to cram into the rows of seats at the back rather than stretch out on the floor and make friends. To each their own I guess.

A very different and fun way to spend a night out. Slideshow below.

Nick is in another band?

Ugh…..

Always leave the audience wanting more….

Looks like a damned good time. Kept finding myself getting into the tunes and then BAM. They’d end. Dammit.

ahhh…. ‘Reclining in comfort’ .. nice
