Imagine sitting on the balcony of your architecturally designed penthouse, overlooking the view of Mount Ainslie, Braddon and the Sydney and Melbourne Buildings, sipping on a cool glass of pale lager after work. You’ve walked home in the warm afternoon sun, just across the road is the office. You’re thinking about a workout in the premium gymnasium in the building before hitting the custom-built kitchen to cook dinner, or maybe a sauna.

The opportunity to purchase one of Canberra’s largest already established architecturally designed four-bedroom apartments in the city is rare. This four-bedroom, two-bathroom luxury home has two car parking spaces beneath the building and is located in the heart of the City.

It is, in fact, one of the largest four-bedroom units in the city. Situated on the tenth floor of the building, entering through a grand lobby with a concierge, the lifts take you to the front door, and when opened a new, luxurious lifestyle awaits.

Floor to ceiling views across the city to Mount Ainslie

Floor to ceiling views across the city to Mount Ainslie flood the home with light.

Architectus designed this residence with a flowing open design with 2.7 metre high ceilings, immediately impressing upon you the generosity of space in the home. Pale wooden floors complement the neutral tone of the living room, ensuring the major feature of the room remains the stunning view through floor to ceiling double glazing.

In the open-plan living/dining, the two areas and the kitchen are cleverly zoned by lighting and the stone benchtop of the island unit. The kitchen features a walk-in pantry, induction cooktop, soft close pan drawers, an integrated Siemens dishwasher and fridge, and is flooded with natural light from the floor to ceiling windows. The fixtures are premium, and the kitchen custom-built for the apartment showing a high level of craftsmanship in the finishes.

The large master suite is separated from the three other bedrooms, and is accessed through the living room. The walk-in robe has an abundance of different storage options, with soft grey carpet underfoot which gives continuity to the master bedroom, and the grey tiles of the designer ensuite with walk-in shower and premium fixtures. Double glazing protects from heat and cold, and keeps the bedroom zones peaceful and calm, reducing any noise from the street to a genuinely unnoticeable level.

The three other bedrooms are located at the other end of the apartment, accessed via a short corridor from the kitchen/dining room. They are large and have their own balcony, and beautiful views through their own floor to ceiling picture windows, making the best use of light and space, and giving residents views of spectacular sunrises and sunsets. All bedrooms have soft grey carpet, providing warmth and comfort to the sleeping zone, and are fitted with built-in robes. The main bathroom has mosaic wall tiles, natural stone shelves, a walk-in shower, all beautifully accented with designer ceramic fittings.

The laundry comes with a clothes dryer and storage cupboards, and sits neatly at the end of the kitchen. And there’s a double lock-up garage.

McGrath Agent Jess Smith says the residence is to die for.

“There is so much to love about The Capitol,” she said.

“The location is key and the open plan features of the apartment are to die for. This is a rare opportunity,” she said when asked about how often properties like this come onto the market.

“Emotional connection is so important when purchasing a home. It is all about the feel and this is why we love selling established properties, as purchasers are able to make their own connections whilst seeing the features, views and sophistication in person,” she said.

Offers for this prestigious residence at 1014/39 London Circuit in the City will begin from $1,750,000.

The apartment is lovely but hard for it to be the penthouse when this building has 14 floors and this is on level 10 lol. The penthouse apartments are mostly 2 bedrooms, they are all 2 storey on floors 13/14
