And now for something important.
The NCA has announced the performance times for the Captain Cook Memorial Jet.
- “From Tuesday 7 October the jet will operate from 2pm until 4pm daily, with special extended hours for key event such as Australia Day and Canberra Day.
The new operating hours were selected in discussion with the Lake Users Group.
The Captain Cook Memorial Jet was constructed to commemorate the bicentenary of Captain James Cook’s discovery of the East Coast of Australia. In still conditions the jet can propel water over a hundred metres into the air.
The Captain Cook Memorial Jet is best viewed from near the National Capital Exhibition in Commonwealth Park.”
I beg to differ on that last point.
UPDATED: A week later and Senator Gary Humphries has noticed. He’s not amused.
