ACT Policing will charge a 21-year-old Phillip woman with drink-driving, driving with licence suspended, furious/reckless driving and failing to stop when requested by police after a pursuit in Weston early this morning.

Police on patrol in Streeton Drive around 4.20am today (Friday, July 13) attempted a traffic stop on a white Mitsubishi Lancer sedan for the purposes of conducting a roadside screening test on the driver.

The driver failed to stop and a pursuit commenced through Phillip and Mawson. The driver finally stopped in Wilkins St, Mawson, where she refused a roadside screening test and was conveyed to Woden Police Station. She later returned a Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) of 0.122.

The pursuit had lasted four and a half minutes, with alleged offender reaching a highest speed of 140km/h.

The woman was conveyed to the ACT Watch House. She is expected to face the ACT Magistrates Court later this morning.

And those family stickers on the back (If she doesn’t have a family it would have a cat and horse)

Bogans have horses?

Bi way. And cats? Don’t make me laugh. Rottweilers.

Take the car away from her.

One would hope that the bogan financial reserves aren’t up to replacing it multiple times…

DESTROY THE CAR!!!

That will make them think twice about being DUI again.

If a several thousand dollar fine doesn’t make people think twice, then what makes you think crushing a $500 car will?

But you can just not pay the fine or claim hardship and the greens plan for equatable fines for the common folk will get you off. Crushing their car has a real tangible effect, especially when the car has demigod status as it often does with the urban boganity.

Crushing it is a waste of resources. Give it to an immigrant.

An immigrant wouldn’t be seen dead in one of those cars.Nah crush the driver or is that just a little too harsh??

Their preferred place on the road is up the arse of other cars (maybe they’re lonely). Have they been assimilated, are they being programmed by some alien force?

Nope, just emulating their knuckle dragging boyfriends who also taught them to ‘drive’.

I sometimes wonder if they’re plugged into some kind of mothership. Females in Lancers and Excels who carefully plaster their cars with the above crap, including the sticker alerting all and sundry that the owner is an unpleasant person, the uniform is an unflatteringly fake-looking hairstyle and enormous sunglasses (are they some kind of fly?), and if they do something wrong on the road, their middle finger goes up. If it had frangipani stickers on it… *checks card*… I think I have a bingo!

I hope they stop her before she graduates to a white Commodore.

More recently adorned with ‘southern cross’ and ‘UNIT’ stickers to further align themselves with their male bogan counterparts.

I always wondered about those playboy stickers. Do they mean the girl likes to make pr0n or consume pr0n? I assume (for cars with female drivers) that it usually means aspirations to produce it, since playboy aimed at men. Unless every car with playboy logos is owned by a lesbian – but that doesn’t seem likely.

Surely these charges should result in a significant custodial sentence if she is found guilty. She has proven that she is prepared to drive on a suspended license. What will stop her from doing so again if she is let loose in the community. By the nature of the other charges, it is obvious that this woman, when she gets behind the wheel again, is a very real danger and a threat to the safety of the community.

I read this bit and figured you must be new to Canberra.

Now let’s see if we are let down by the judiciary again.

Then I read this bit and realised you’ve been here long enough to know how things work.
