AHHHH.

Phillip what a suburb, Canberra’s tallest residential building and the Southside farmers Market every sunday at the CIT Southside Campus. To be able to stroll over to the markets enjoy a coffee, get my freah fruit, veg and a loaf of just aked bread. What a place what a suburb. Any other “Pillipino’s” (people form Phillip) should head across and support this great market

“I find EPIC farmers markets quite expensive” – well they shouldn’t be, given all the middlemen have been eliminated, or supposedly so? Perhaps the producers’ involved in these ‘enterprises’ realise that like everything else, the concept could well have a limited shelf-life, after-all? Not necessarily true of course, especially, if these places look after their customers and actually do what they say they do?

oh, yeah, right!
how about listing the stuff/prices you bought
big chance it was not local farm produce at all
but more likely grocery/baker/deli-type stuff
and likely including wanker-style coffees
more facts, please, less opinion/s

sorry soulman I think I am indeed the worst. I also have a peide in being this way. I hope no offence was taken from my post, I know you mentioned you were the worst but i will have to compete with you for that title.

pjp, if you read my post a little closer, you’ll see that I still consider myself the worst speller on riotact. A title I hold with great pride:) I was merely commenting that your spelling (which is not great, but better than mine) makes my ego fell a bit better.

But calling yourself the “worst speller on riotact” when I am so proud of that title has crushed my ego:(

Re Organic Express, the apples last week were cheaper than the non-organic apples at the mall f&v shop. Perhaps the higher priced stuff you’re erking at is the organic produce brought in from interstate because it isn’t in season locally? The prices do seem better than the organic shop at Fyshwick markets, and it lasts much longer than the f&v I’ve had from Woolies.

soulman I have no doubt I have the worst spelling on RioACT. Mate it doesent really bother me. If I was stuck in the public service and needed to impress people with my documenting skills, I would propbably care more but my very basic english skills have served me well this far on my journey through life. Im glad I have wonders for your ego. I do what I can

I find EPIC farmers markets quite expensive. I used to go there quite often and indulge in my warm fyzzy feeling that I was getting fresh produce and bakery delights and putting my money in teh hands of local producers.

One trip to Fyshwick markets fixed that for me.

I came back with just as much stuff as usual but had about 30 or 40 bucks more in my pocket.

Me and Mrs Danman are now converts – and we dont have to get up at the crack-a-dawn to bag a bargain – as they are open from wednesday to sunday – instead of scant few hours in a morning…

Anyway – just my opinion – not a blanketting statement.

pjp, I may be the worst speller on RiotACT. I type to fast. But your ample supply of blearing spelling and grammatical errors have done wonders for my ego!!!

Organic Express

Erk – at those prices, I stick to buying straight from the producers at the markets…

I quite like the Phillip markets. Although I expect I won’t have to visit them for a while, as I’m getting fruit & veg & meat deliveries from Organic Express and eggs from the chooks in the backyard. All I have to do is start using the breadmaker again, and get a goat, and I’ll never have to go to the mall again 🙂

For a total prefab concrete construction sky plaza is not tht bad, but the developer must have taken lessons in how to build a getto. When they were making it some one graffitied one of the prefab slabs while it was on thew ground. then it was maoved into position on about the 8th floor, great look

Bet they didn’t realise the tower would be a really downmarket yellow, and would boast views of caryards and the air con units on shops. What were they thinking?

swami, could agree more about SkyPlaza. A total eye sore. Quite boring architecture and cheap colour scheme.
What’s funny though is their marketing and the sign out front keeps referring to the limited number of apartments left and how time is running out. They’ve been saying time was running out for a year now.

Do they sell SPAM?

The tallest residential building is also Canberra’s ugliest eyesore and overpriced future ghetto – a total blot on the landscape (sorry to those of you who bought off the plans). On the other hand, the markets are great!
