phu quoc

The market for cheap and cheerful Vietnamese has been sorely missing Dickson’s beloved Phu Quoc since late November when a fire sadly forced its closure.

Thrillingly the old girl is up and racing again!

Even better orders over $20 are getting 20% off until the end of July (max $20 discount)!

So for the true believers, get down to Cape St!

Awesome news. Hard core lovers (like us) of Pho Quoc will occasionally travel from Lanyon Valley (or when travelling thru) to enjoy the delights of Pho Quoc. There is only one question remaining that has me baffled. How do you pronounce Pho Quoc? Phew….Cock, or what?

if only they had home delivery to my office.

I think I read somewhere they’re offering a 20% discount on orders over $20.

Hilarity!

Shows how often I venture in to the Civic interchange.

On another note though, I just had a look to see if the street view cars drove through the Civic interchange. Take that, No Entry signs.

^ No, that place closed ages ago.

It is now Coo Japanese Izakaya (sister restaurant to Iori).

There’s still a Phu Quoc in the interchange, isn’t there?

Enjoy while its last guys, the whole section where Phu Quoc is now on a 3 months lease, and gets renewal every 3 months, Phu Quoc may disappear again after the 3 months if the dodgy Asian landlord don’t extended their lease. Its pretty unusual to only have 3 months lease i must say.

Yummmo!!! Thanks Johnboy. Off to Pho Quoc we go…..
Yummy!

Sweeeettt! Ahhhh, life is good again.

Speaking of Dickson, there was (what I thought was) a good Japanese place on Woolley St near Zefferellis which has closed down. Any ideas why?

Is it cleaner than it was before, without the flies?

So yummy! I went there for the first time last night and it was super delicious. They have a vegetarian menu and the coconut veggie curry was quite tasty plus the veggie bird nest is fun.
