Territory and Municipal Services advise that they’re conducting a burn at the Pinnacle Nature Reserve behind Hawker tomorrow.

The burn is approximately one hectare in size.

This ecological burn is part of a joint project between Friends of The Pinnacle and ACT Parks and Conservation Service to investigate the effects of fire, in addition to other control methods, on weeds and grasslands within The Pinnacle Nature Reserve.

Like in all controlled burns, safety will be of paramount importance. Experienced fire managers, supported by trained fire-fighters, will conduct the burning operations.
